Crop images for avatars, thumbnails, product shots, and social posts without uploading them. Drag and resize the on-image selector, or enter exact pixel values for width, height, and position.
How to crop image
- Upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP image (or drop it onto the upload area).
- Drag or resize the crop box, or set width, height, X, and Y in pixels.
- Download your cropped image.
The crop runs locally on your device and downloads in the same format as your original when possible. No account required.
Why crop image
Cropping removes what you do not need so the subject fills the frame:
- Better framing — cut empty edges, clutter, or unwanted background.
- Fit a layout — prepare images for cards, galleries, and product tiles.
- Focus attention — keep faces, logos, or products centered.
- Prep for resize — crop to the right region first, then resize to exact pixels.
Unlike resize, crop changes which part of the image you keep rather than scaling the whole frame.
When to crop image
Use Crop Image when composition is the problem:
- You need a square avatar or thumbnail from a wider photo.
- A product shot has too much empty space around it.
- You want to remove edges before posting or uploading.
- You need exact pixel width, height, and position for a design.
- You prefer not to upload personal photos to an online cropper.
If you only need to change overall size without cutting content, use Resize Image instead.
